what I’m reading

Ok, I have been reading lots, especially students papers, grant proposals, and the like. But, I am also reading in airports. Here’s some stuff.

Jon Stewart as Edward R. Murrow.

Why Obama’s “charm offensive” against Iran will fail.

Why College basketball, and I love the NCAA tournament, is exploitative; and this *is* a convincing analysis of The Real March Madness – WSJ.com.

Why the Cardinals will not win the NL Central, but might be competitive.

A response to those anti-climate change fools, Chris Mooney – Climate Change’s Myths and Facts – washingtonpost.com.

Also, there is a great essay about the Freeman Dyson, the climate change heretic, in the NYTimes Sunday Magazine that is mislabeled. Dyson is not arguing against climate change, but rather that our political responses might be overblown–the problem might not be as worrisome as many of us think. Interesting stuff.

Back to reading and waiting.
