So Bobby Jindal doesn’t want us to monitor volcanoes. Great idea coming from a guy who is governor of a state devastated by a Hurricane, as well as a state devastated by Republican cronyism (Bush appoints horse-show guy to FEMA directorship). What’s interesting is the story that I just read on FiveThirtyEight.com: Politics Done Right: Jindal Versus the Volcano. Turns out that volcano monitoring has saved lives from natural disasters in the past.

Like all good republicans, Jindall doesn’t really get it. Even after Katrina, which he repeatedly invoked. Pathetic.

How about we get a meaningful political debate in this country.
